In 1991, David Dye introduced World Cafe—a blend of music, live performances and artist interviews—which airs on the popular Philadelphia-based public radio station, WXPN, and 200 National Public Radio affiliates around the US. Years later this show and its host would inspire the creation of World Cafe Live—an intimate Philadelphia venue housing a multi-level live performance space under the same roof as WXPN’s new broadcast studios. Now film producer Stephanie Bennett of Delilah Films has joined forces with Hal Real of World Cafe Live to bring this unique musical experience to viewers at home.
